CBD Oil Recommendations: What CBD Oil is Best for Me?

There is no “best” CBD oil brand for everyone. But our CBD oil recommendation tool can help narrow down your choices of the best CBD oil products that you can buy online. Just answer 2 questions to get CBD oil brand recommendations that may be right for you.

Question 1: Do you want a full-spectrum CBD oil product or a product with 0% THC?

Option 1: Full Spectrum (<0.3% THC)

Full-spectrum CBD oil products typically include all of the naturally-occurring cannabinoids and terpenes from hemp. Since full-spectrum products include a trace amount of THC (less than 0.3% to be legal), there is a chance of testing positive on a drug test that is looking to detect the presence of THC.

Option 2: CBD Product With 0% THC

CBD oil products with 0% THC are generally preferred by those who want to use CBD but have concerns about testing positive on a drug test. CBD oil products without THC generally only contain pure CBD isolate or are “broad spectrum” (contain some other cannabinoids and terpenes but 0% THC).

Frequently Asked Questions About CBD Oil

What is CBD oil?

Cannabidiol (CBD for short) is a chemical compound that is extracted in oil form from cannabis. CBD is one of at least 113 active cannabinoids identified in cannabis.

What’s the difference between CBD oil from marijuana vs. hemp?

There are 2 different “types” of CBD oil products: (1) where the CBD has been extracted from marijuana, and (2) where the CBD has been extracted from hemp. The differentiator is the amount of THC in the end product. CBD products from marijuana contain more than 0.3% THC, thus making them a schedule 1 drug so they are only available in medical marijuana states. CBD products from hemp contain only trace amounts of THC (less than 0.3%) so they be purchased legally online and in some local stores.

Do I need a prescription or medical card to purchase CBD hemp oil online?

No.

Is CBD hemp oil legal?

The current laws governing CBD hemp oil are a grey area at the federal, state and local levels. We are not lawyers or interpreters of the law. Those wanting definitive answers regarding legalities should review the laws applicable in your area and/or consult an attorney.

Does CBD oil make you fail a drug test?

If you are not willing to accept at least some risk of a positive drug test, then you should not use any CBD oil products. Not everyone who takes CBD hemp oil products tests positive but it can happen. There are several factors that come into play, including the type of product, amount consumed, body chemistry and sensitivity of the drug test. Drug tests are typically looking to detect the presence of THC. “Full spectrum” CBD hemp oil products include trace amounts of THC. The chances of testing positive are lower with CBD hemp oil products from pure CBD (“isolate) since they typically have undetectable levels of THC.
